Under the call The Fluid Commons, we will consider the Detroit River as a multi-layered and multi-dimensional living environment and will engage in the making of visual narratives and urban design proposals. Joining the Detroit River Initiative with the University of Michigan, Engaging the Community Through the Classroom program. As part of this network, we will engage in conversations depicting multidisciplinary approaches and perspectives to the study of the Detroit Heritage River Cultural Landscapes. Classes are structured to provide a dynamic learning experience integrating lectures, readings, and discussions, software tutorials, “Zoom desk” critics, interdisciplinary meetings with units working in the Detroit River Initiative, and students’ presentations
