María Arquero de Alarcón is an urbanist, researcher, and educator. A founding principal at MAde Studio, her work focuses on issues of cultural resilience, environmental adaptation and activist, insurgent, urban citizenship. Maria is an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan Taubman College. She holds a professional degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Madrid Polytechnic University, a master of Advanced Studies in Landscape Architecture from the E.T.H. Zurich, and a master of Landscape Architecture in Urban Design from the G.S.D., Harvard University. She is a Registered Spanish Architect and A.S.L.A. member. The Fellowship for Postgraduate Studies “Obra Social La Caixa” made possible her academic journey in the US.
